1 cup white flour
1 cup whole wheat flour (or all whole wheat)

2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
¼ cup (1/2 of 1 square) COLD margarine or butter

- Preheat oven to 400F.
- Mix dry ingredients together in a medium bowl.
- Cut in margarine with pastry blender until the size of small peas.
- In a separate bowl, beat egg until frothy. Mix in Milk.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Stir only until moistened.
- Flour the counter and turn dough onto counter. Knead lightly 8-10 times.
- Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- With a rolling pin, roll dough until it is about 1 inch thick. Cut into squares, about 2”x2” or use a cookie cutter. Place on baking sheet, spaced evenly apart.
- Bake at 400F for 12 minutes.
